The Egyptian Water Partnership in cooperation with the Centre for Environment and Development for Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE) and the Arab Water Council organized a workshop on "the future of water in Egypt". The workshop addressed the major challenges facing Egypt water and the water sector. The workshop was attended by a large number of water experts and specialists in water-related fields as agriculture, water supply and sanitation, law, research centers and universities as well as the civil society. The workshop was opened by H.E. Prof. Dr. Nadia Makram Ebeid, Executive Director (CEDARE) and Prof. Dr. Safwat Abdel Dayem, Secretary (AWC), on behalf of H.E. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abu Zeid, President of the Arab Water Council. The program included presentations and discussion of important scientific papers addressing the features of Egypt's water and agricultural strategies till year 2050.
