The Arab Water Council is developing partnership and cooperation with the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) and within this context the AWC co-organized the MENA Business Forum with Singapore International Water Week 2010. The title of the Forum was "Water Reuse in MENA". Speakers at the Forum attended a CEO roundtable at the end of their presentations where CEOs of private companies shared their views and experiences on doing business and the perceived business opportunities; in the water sector in the MENA region.
AWC and SIWW signed a MOU in a ceremony at the beginning of the MENA Business Forum on ?Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The MOU was signed by Dr. Safwat Abdel-Dayem, the Secretary General for and on behalf the AWC, and Mr. Michael TOH, Managing Director, for and on behalf SIWW. H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Abu-Zeid, President (AWC) and Mr. Anthony CHENG, Financial Controller (SIWW) witnessed the signing ceremony. The MOU outlines areas of cooperation between the two parties during the SIWW 2010 and 2011 which will allow AWC to organize, co-organize or participate in the following events of the SIWW:
