The 9th meeting of the AWC Board of Governors was held in Cairo on February 28, 2013 after the convening the third General Assembly, which was held during the period February 26-27, 2013.
Among the agenda items discussed were: seeking financial resources for the establishment of the permanent headquarters of the Arab Water Council in New Cairo, the status of the Arab Water Academy, and establishing King Mohammed VI International Studies and Water Research Center in the Arab world, features an action plan of AWC in the next phase (2013 - 2015), activating the role of the committees and specialized networks of the Arab Water Council, proposals to enhance and develop the financial resources of the Council, and discussing membership report.
